One Sabbath afternoon in 2006, after singing the hymn, Hark the Voice of Jesus calling, at the Pikesville Seventh-day Adventist Church, our hearts were pricked with compassion for our Adventist community in Liberia. What could we do to help someone in Liberia? The Flomos and the Smiths went to the home of the Flomos for lunch and began reminiscing about the Kakata Seventh-day Adventist Church. Someone suggested how to be a faithful Aaron in the community, and that suggestion opened the door to a called meeting the following Sabbath at the home of the Smiths, this time with Elder Emmanuel Kudjordji present. We later met at the home of the late Pastor Mulbah S. Jallah and also at the home of the Late Mother Beatrice Barmadia. NALAA was organized and several years later, we've come this far by faith.

CONTINUING THE GREAT COMMISSION
Before Jesus left the earth, He had an important message for His followers–those people who watched him live, serve, die, and rise again. It was also a message for those followers who would come after Him – those today who would hear, read, understand, and believe. The message was simple: spread the good news. In obedience to His great commission and with a passion for His glory, NALAA is taking the gospel to Liberia, meeting the needs of His people, for the sake of His name.
